Across DELA's online engineering domain — from dela.nl and Mijn DELA to intermediary portals, digital customer journeys and integration platforms — I set technical direction for three multidisciplinary teams and approximately 21 professionals.

• Leadership & organisation

  Coaches Tech Leads and engineers, shaping technical vision, ownership and consistent engineering practices across three teams.

• Business & innovation

  Connects technology, product and business, advising on feasibility, risk, security, compliance and solution direction. Applies generative AI practically in development, code reviews, prototyping and tooling.

• Engineering excellence

  Improved the release cycle from fortnightly to multiple deployments a day. Infrastructure-as-Code, releases decoupled by application component and observability with Dynatrace and Application Insights support further improvement.

• Architecture & digital landscape

  Shapes future-state architecture and modernisation from legacy Sitecore/MVC towards modern web, API and Azure architectures, including CMS platform evaluation and selection.

Essent

Lead Consultant / Solution Architect

Worked on improving and modernising Essent's online platform. The role combined architecture and hands-on development, with a focus on stability, performance and software quality.

• Stability & performance

  Analysed platform stability and performance and worked on improvements to the online environment.

• Headless architecture

  Advised on the transition towards a more modern headless architecture.

• Sitecore migration

  Investigated and carried out the migration from Sitecore 9.3 to Sitecore 10.1.

Freo

Lead Sitecore Developer / Scrum Master

Worked on freo.nl, personalisation and digital campaigns, combining hands-on development with a focus on engineering quality.

  Continued development of freo.nl and personalisation for digital campaigns.

  Strengthened the development process with unit and UI testing and CI/CD in Azure DevOps.

• Team & innovation

  Supported team members and took on Scrum Master responsibilities. Also developed a WhatsApp chatbot.
